Week 8!! Lace to patch holes in my jeans!!
So I bought these Silver jeans that come with holes already in them but my son likes to pick at the holes and of course stretched it all out so I seen this idea on PINTEREST and thought it was supper cute!! Now there is no reason to throw out your expensive jeans!! I used spray on fabric glue to adhere the lace over the hole. Simply turn the jeans inside out, spray the jeans where the hole is and stick the lace over and let dry!! It really is that easy!!
Here is the link attached to the pin:
http://diyreal.com/diy-lace-inset-jeans/
You can also find it on my clothes board right on PINTEREST. It was so super easy to do. It took less than 10 seconds and the one yard of lace cost me literally $2.10 at fabric land!
Here's a picture of my jeans all fixed up!!
A close up and some further away.

Week 6!!! Wedding Card Album
So I have been hoarding my Wedding cards for almost 6 years now thinking about something to do with them. Well I found an idea on PINTEREST!!! I couldn't get the picture off of PINTEREST so you'll have to go to the ladies blog to see it but I will post mine!! It doesn't really look like a book but I punched holes in the center of each card and strung a ribbon through all of them and tied it off. Then I tied a big ribbon around the whole album to keep it together a bit better. It took me just about 2 hours and I broke 2 punches doing it all but I like how it turned out!! Let me know what you think.

Week 5!!! Cinnamon Bun Popcorn
This week I decided to make this popcorn because it looked so so yummy, and it was!!!
The picture is from PINTEREST wont upload to my computer so you'll have to look on her blog at: http://www.laurenslatest.com/cinnamon-bun-popcorn/
Cinnamon Bun Popcorn
yield: 4 servings
2 tablespoons vegetable or canola oil
1/2 cup popcorn kernels
a few dashes of salt
1/4 cup butter, melted
1 teaspoon cinnamon, or more if desired
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon half & half
Directions:
In a small bowl, mix butter and cinnamon together. Set aside. In a separate small bowl, mix powdered sugar with half & half until smooth. You may have to stir in a little more half & half to get it to drizzling consistency. Set aside.
Place oil and popcorn kernels into a large pot. Cover with tight fitting lid or foil. Place pot over high heat. Shake pot back and forth over hot burner to heat kernels evenly. Continue shaking the pot until the popcorn starts to pop. After a minute or two, the popping will slow right down and you’ll have a pot full of popcorn. Dump the hot popcorn onto a baking sheet and drizzle with cinnamon butter immediately. Stir to coat. Drizzle the icing over the top and toss to coat as well. Serve warm, or let it cool so the icing can harden up a bit.
Recipe notes: It’s important to keep the pot moving the entire time its over the heat–this ensures the kernels don’t ever burn.

Cucumber Salad
Ingredients
1 large cucumber
2 tsp coarse sea salt
1 Tbsp light sour cream
1 tsp finely chopped onion
1 tsp fresh dill, chopped
1 tsp vinegar
1 tsp sugar
Directions
Peel your cucumber - or you can leave the peel on if you want - slice cucumber into fairly thin slices. Place into a colander and sprinkle with coarse sea salt. Set on something to catch the water that drains off, and set aside.
Mix together sour cream, onion, dill, vinegar, and sugar. Cover and place in fridge.
Let cucumbers drain and dressing chill for at least an hour, up to 2 hours.
Before serving, rinse cucumbers under running water briefly. Pat dry with paper towel.
Toss dressing with cucumbers and serve.

Introduction
I started using PINTEREST as I am sure many of you do and I realized that I sure "Pin" a lot of things and NEVER get around to actually making the craft, recipe, home decor item, etc. so I thought I'd start this blog to challenge myself to making one thing a week that I "Pinned" from PINTEREST. The more followers I get, the more I'm sure I will create. Each week I will post what I've accomplished and I look forward to your comments!! If you would like to join me on PINTEREST my PINTEREST account is http://pinterest.com/jessstrome/
Well I'm off to search my PINTEREST for the perfect first creation!!
